Behind The Scenes Fun: Jaclyn's Panel Feature at The Boston Women's Leadership Summit

Hey beauties! Welcome back to Creative Contour By Carla ®! Today we are talking about a fabulous women's event from earlier this year: The Boston Women's Leadership Summit! It was such a fun time to attend, as well as to help the lovely Jaclyn feel beautiful and confident for her panel feature! So lets jump right in!

For those of you who've been following my blog for awhile now, you know that having your makeup done for a special event like this is an absolute necessity. This type of event involves dressing up, which is so fun, and a great makeup look will complete your image. Especially if you are speaking or on a panel, you want to look great and exude confidence. No need to worry, because I have your back! So let's talk about the event.

The Boston Women's Leadership Summit took place at the fabulous Newbury Hotel in Boston. It was a beautiful setting! This was my first time going to the hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed! My client, Jaclyn, Owner + Founder of Nextonscene Media, was speaking on a panel later in the day at the event. Because I was attending and working, I showed up early to the hotel, dressed up for the event, with my kit in tow! The staff at the hotel was able to secure us a great room to help Jaclyn get her makeup done before the event. A huge shoutout to Hannah and the team at the Newbury who helped us out at the last second! We appreciate it! It was a small conference room, with plenty of space and amenities, should we have needed them. It was perfect! Jaclyn was ready on time for the event, and I had a chance to clean up before attending.

We started the morning with networking and coffee. It was relaxing and easy to check my kit and my coat in with the front desk, and it felt good to just chat and meet some new people. We had a great time for that first hour, then it was time to enter the grand ballroom. It was beautiful! The room itself a crisp ivory, with large bay windows to view the Boston Public Gardens just across the street. We met the host and numerous presenters, and heard great speeches. Then we went into breakout rooms where the panels took place.

Jaclyn absolutely crushed her panel feature, discussing all things public relations and how to build your brand. I am so proud of her! She felt confident and powerful, yet approachable with the makeup style we chose for her. Here is a photo of her in action below:

Because we chose the right makeup style, she was able to focus on the content she had planned to discuss during the panel feature. She came back to me when it ended and was so relieved to have this type of makeup look. Classic, polished, yet glamorous. This is the style of makeup you want when you are public speaking, beauties!

Then we had a beautiful lunch, enjoyed a musical performance from Berkeley College of Music, and ended the day with some fun photos at the photo booth! Check out Jaclyn, in green. A gorgeous makeup look to compliment her overall vibe.
