Hey beauties! Welcome back to Creative Contour By Carla ®! Today, we are talking all things glamour and why you should have your makeup done for a special event. There are so many events going on that we get to have fun and dress up for! I mean who wouldn't want to look fabulous, am I right?! Your glamorous attire requires a beautiful makeup look to complete it! I've been a makeup artist for 12 years, I think I know what I am talking about, ha ha!

You want to look your best.
I think this one is self explanatory, but let's dive into it a little bit more. We all aspire to look good every single day, but sometimes it just doesn't work in our favor. I know we've all tried a new look for an event, and it completely backfired on us. And then we make ourselves late, because we are trying to fix it when we couldn't get it right the first time. It's definitely frustrating when that happens.
The beauty of hiring a makeup artist for a special event is that you don't have to worry about that situation happening! I host a phone consult with you for this very reason: so we can talk about the details, what you're wearing, and how you want to look for the event. It really is that easy!! I show up on the day of the event and we're ready to look good!
Long-lasting glamour
This is probably one of my most asked questions: will the makeup stay all night? The answer is: yes! Now, obviously a number of factors determine how makeup sits on your face. But, the methods and products I use have proven to stand up to severe weather, temperature changes, and the like.
Another factor to this is your skincare routine itself. If you are not caring for your skin properly, the makeup will not last long. So before you think of getting makeup done, I recommend having a facial with a practicing esthetician and formulating a proper skincare routine to stick to. You'll need at least one month before you see results.
Once you have that down, your makeup will last the entirety of your event! I would say the only thing that doesn't last that long is lipstick if you are eating at your event.

Beauties, that's it! I hope you found this information helpful! And for those of you who are ready to have your makeup done for your next event, let's chat!
Lots of love and lipstick,
Carla
